Physical fitness instructor Dawn Estelle Archer, 31, of Richmond, Va., reveals how she lost the weight and turned her life around.
Her Inspiration and Technique
What inspired you to begin your weight reduction journey? “I was depressed. I felt like my life was spiraling out of control, but recognized I could manage exactly what I provided for myself. In 2012, I began to control my consuming and exercise. I stopped weighing myself about a week into my journey, but I went from a size 16 to a size 6. What was your weight-loss strategy? I stopped tracking my weight reduction and I began concentrating on consistency.”
“I ensured that I was regularly eating healthy and working out. I aim to eat every 3 hours and within an hour of getting up unless I’m fasting( then I begin eating at twelve noon and stop at 6pm ). My standards for food are pretty basic: I don’t consume any meat, just wild caught seafood moderately. I consume mostly veggies, fruit and nuts. I work out every day, which is not a chore, however more like my therapy.What’s the primary weight-loss mistake that people make? “They’re more intense than they look, but I encourage everyone to take as many breaks as they need up until they develop their endurance. We do a mix of cardio and strength training. I choreograph all of the tunes and we have over 80 that we shuffle though weekly. I recently had a member state my class is where she “finds her pleasure.”
What guidance would you provide to other ladies who wish to shed pounds?
“Take an in the past photo in a bikini or shorts and a sports bra. Print this picture and publish it around your home, on the fridge, in the automobile or in your wallet.
